Get Global: Young Professionals Talk Global Health

The Irish Global Health Network’s Student Outreach Team (SOT) today launched its new podcast series, Get Global –  Young Professionals Talk Global Health with an interview with guest speaker Dr Sadhbh Lee, Co Founder of Irish Doctors for the Environment.

The new podcast series is focused on discussions with inspiring individuals working in health, who are committed to bringing about positive changes in the areas in which they work.

Podcasts are presented by Megan Davis (Irish Global Health Network intern and medical student with RCSI) and Aidan Desjardins (SOT representative and microbiology student, Trinity College Dublin). The series is produced by Stephen Rooney.

In the following episode, the SOT team invited Dr Sadhbh Lee, Obstetric and Gynaecology registrar in the National Maternity Hospital, to discuss the interconnected nature of health and the environment.

As a founding member of Irish Doctors for the Environment, she described how the organisation came to be and provided practical examples about how students and early career professionals can contribute to environmental initiatives.
