Michael O’Connor is the Manager for the Civil Society (CS) and Private Sector (PS) partnerships team at The Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. He is responsible for supporting the engagement of civil society and the private sector in all aspects of Global Fund activities, from grant implementation to governance. Under his leadership the CS and PS team has introduced the innovative Community Systems Strengthening (CSS) Framework as a means to ensure a sustainable community-based response to health concerns.
His team is also leading on the implementation of Global Fund strategic priorities including promotion of human rights and enhancement of country partnerships.
