General Public Information on Female genital Mutilation (FGM) and the Law in Ireland

The Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2012 came into commencement on 20th September 2012. With support from HSE, AkiDwA is undertaking several steps to raise awareness and to ensure women and girls are fully protected. As part of this process and to mark 16 International days of opposing violence against women AkiDwA has published a General Public Information Leaflet on Female Genital Mutilation and Law in Ireland.
The leaflet will be launched on the 14th December 2012
