IFGH Presenter: Ms. Sheila Dickson

Sheila Dickson is President of the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation since 2008, and is a Senior Staff Nurse at St. Columbanus Home, Killarney, Co. Kerry. The INMO is the largest professional Nursing/Midwifery Organisation in Ireland working for its members to ensure best patient care, supporting its members at work, offering advice and guidance on employment and industrial relations issues.

Sheila has been central to the initiative of the INMO to support a Wellness Centre for health workers in Ethiopia under the Wellness Centre for Healthcare Workers Programme of the International Council of Nurses. This programme has already been implemented successfully in the other five locations in Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Uganda and Zambia.
