More broadly, it serves as a learning resource for development and humanitarian workers, and for anyone interested in global health and committed to strengthening global health systems.
The Global Health Curriculum for Specialist Medical Training in Ireland
Welcome to the Global Health e-learning module, developed by the Global Health Committee of the Forum of Irish Postgraduate Medical Training Bodies. This module was developed for all doctors in postgraduate medical training programmes in Ireland, and has been endorsed by RCSI as a valuable resource for Irish surgical trainees, emergency medicine trainees, and other cadres.
A certificate of completion is available upon successful completion of the two-hour module – you must complete all sections, and score 80% or higher in the final knowledge check to obtain the certificate. This course has been accredited for 2 CPD points by the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland; this CPD accreditation is recognised by RCSI and other Irish postgraduate medical training bodies.
This module is a companion piece to the new global health curriculum which was approved by the Forum for inclusion in all higher specialist training programme.
Once you’ve completed and submitted the form via the registration button above, you will receive access to the course within 24-48 hours.
This course is currently hosted by the Irish Global Health Network. For any questions or assistance, feel free to contact us at [email protected].
