Irish Health Workers for Palestine

Irish Healthcare Workers for Palestine (IHCW4P) is a collective of healthcare workers based on the  island of Ireland focused on raising awareness on the genocide in Palestine and standing with our Palestinian colleagues.

Regular Activities Include

Weekly Demonstrations

  • Cork, as part of the CPSC weekly demonstration meeting on grand parade at 1pm on Saturdays 
  • Waterford Bridgil
  • Galway Vigil outside University Hospital Galway Tuesdays 7-8pm

Monthly Demonstration

  • Dublin, gathering outside Hugh Lane Gallery at 1pm on day of National Marches organised by IPSC

Past Actions: 

  • On 10th June 2025, Irish Health Care Workers for Palestine held a powerful press briefing, endorsed by IGHN, calling for urgent action against Israel’s assault on Gaza. Speakers demanded concrete steps from the Irish government and professional bodies, including ethical procurement, implementation of the Occupied Territories Bill, and accountability in naming violations of international law. The event highlighted the moral obligation of healthcare professionals to advocate for justice and the protection of life.

 

  • To highlight the EnoughLetter campaign, we are asking people to make an effort to join us for a special walk from the Pepper Canister Church at 8:30am on Thursday May 8th. Palestinian flags, healthcare worker scrubs, keffiyehs, pillow babies and any other non-violent symbol of solidarity are welcome.  30 minutes of your day – and if you are late for work or for school as a result, please tell your employer, your colleagues, your teachers why – you were acting on your beliefs, not just talking.
