IGHN has within its membership health and development professionals and others with an interest in and a commitment to influencing education, advocacy, and policy working within the NGO sector, health sector, and academia to make an impact across global health sectors.

An estimated 698 million people, or 9% of the global population, are living in extreme poverty. More than 34 million people are living with HIV and AIDS, and one in three people globally still do not have access to safe drinking water.

We work to identify key issues and cross-cutting themes that are important for the global health community in Ireland so that we can make an impact across all global health sectors. We are agile and responsive to emerging issues relevant to our members and partner interests
