- Hand Hygiene in low and middle income countries – This article states that existing data suggests that hospital patients in low- and middle-income countries are exposed to rates of healthcare associated infections at least 2-fold higher than in high income countries. In this article, The WHO Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy and its associated resources represent an evidence-based framework for developing a locally-adapted implementation plan for hand hygiene promotion.
- Hand washing behaviour change effect of community-based hygiene and sanitation intervention in low resource setting – This report is based on a behaviour change project in the rural community setting (union council Nahqi), Peshawar, Pakistan aimed to improve hygiene- and sanitation-related behaviour.
- Effectiveness of a Behaviour Change Intervention with Hand Sanitizer Use and Respiratory Hygiene in Reducing Laboratory-Confirmed Influenza among Schoolchildren in Bangladesh: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial. – This report shows that in low resource settings alternative hygiene options, such as hand sanitizer, could improve handwashing promotion to reduce influenza virus infections.
