Seeking a Student Member for the IFGH Board

Calling all under- and post-graduate student IFGH members!

We are now seeking an enthusiastic and motivated student member to join the Board of the IFGH for a period of two years. The Board is committed to ensuring that the voice of students is heard at all levels of the organisation.

The Board’s responsibilities include oversight of the IFGH in terms of: policy and strategy, leadership and impact, and accountability and financial control. The Board meets four times a year and sub-committees work on various issues on a needs basis.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in governance and leadership and to be part of a dynamic organisation ensuring global health in Ireland stays high on the agenda, and to build networks and skills within the global health field.

Any student with an interest in global health is welcome to send a short statement expressing your interest (400 words) and an abridged CV. Your expression of interest should include why you are interested in global health, why you are interested in joining the Board, and what you can bring to the IFGH. Any students with former involvement in the IFGH Student Outreach Group are particularly encouraged to apply.

This is an entirely voluntary commitment.

Please email these to: by close of business on 10 January 2017.
